Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking essential maintenance on the A76 between Garleffan Roundabout to Lochhill, north of New Cumnock, from Monday 29th November until Sunday 5th December 2021.
This scheme, with a value of £226,781, will benefit around 5,948 vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
Overnight convoy will be in place between the hours of 7pm and 6am, works are anticipated to be complete 6am Monday 6th December. Between the hours of 6am and 7pm each day, temporary traffic lights will also be in place at various locations within the extent of the works to facilitate cooling of deeper material.
Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
