Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland as part of the Network Management Contract for the South-West Trunk Road Unit, are undertaking essential resurfacing work on the A75 between Barlae and Newton Stewart. Work will take place between Monday 5th December and Wednesday 14th December 2022, during the hours of 7pm and 6am, each night, with traffic management removed by 6am on Thursday 15th December 2022.
This scheme, covering around 500 metres between the B733 and Three Lochs campsite, will benefit around 4,038 vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
The work will be carried out using an overnight convoy and there will be no need for a diversion. We thank road users for their patience and co-operation while this essential work takes place.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Our operatives will follow strict physical distancing and hygiene protocols throughout the programme, in line with the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 guidance.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
