Following the recent floods, Dumfries and Galloway council were forced to close 60 damaged roads across the region.
59 of these have now re-opened with only the C110n Irongray remaining closed, awaiting verge maintenance repairs, followed by surfacing work.
Flood recovery work continues across the region, including last week the C37n/U390n junction at Glenesslin.
A Spokesperson for D&G Council stated “Our roads operatives have been out in all weathers to address the damage and help our flood recovery as quickly as possible.
This is not about fixing potholes. We are aware of the wider problem and are working hard to fix road defects through our Roads Service Works Programmes. This is about damage to the infrastructure of our roads through flooding and carrying out emergency repairs. Please be kind in your comments.”
