Essential maintenance on the A75 from Dual End to Mid Dargavel will take place overnight, between 8pm and 6am, each night, from Wednesday 2nd December to Saturday 5th December 2020.
The scheme, with a value of £213,958, will benefit around 14,000 road users travelling this route each day, by improving the condition of the road surface, and will reduce the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
This work requires a closure of the A75 at this location, with a signed diversion route in operation.
Westbound traffic will exit at the B721, west of Annan and then join the B723 and continue to temporary traffic lights in place on the narrow bridge at Hoddom, crossing the River Annan. From here, vehicles will continue on the B723 north towards the Queens Hotel / Carlisle Road Roundabout to join the northbound B7076 and will be directed to the A709. At the Catherinefield Road Roundabout, traffic will follow the A709 until the next roundabout to re-join the westbound A75.
Eastbound traffic will follow the same diversion in the opposite direction.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
