In order to keep disruption to an absolute minimum, and to protect the health and safety of our workers and the travelling public, we will carry out these lighting repairs under combined traffic management, alongside resurfacing and inspection works.
Mark Williams, Scotland TranServ’s Lighting and Electrical Delivery Manager said:
“We are planning these works for a total of three overnights to reduce disruption to commuters and business traffic. Scotland TranServ has worked in consultation with Highways England, Autolink, the local authority and emergency services. As such, special access will be retained for emergency service vehicles throughout these works.”
In order to complete this short programme as quickly and safely as possible, they will be carried out under a series of lane and slip road closures on the following evenings:
- 9.30pm Tues 9th to 6am Wed 10th April
- 9.30pm Wed 10th to 6am Thurs 11th April
- 9.30pm Thurs 11th to 6am Fri 12th April
Signed diversions will be in place throughout these essential works. Drivers are advised to allow additional time for their journeys, and to check live updates
