Plans To Swap Brooms Road Pelican Crossing For A Puffin Crossing Announced

THE DUMFRIES AND GALLOWAY COUNCIL

(ESTABLISHMENT OF ‘PUFFIN’ CROSSING)

(A756 BROOMS ROAD, DUMFRIES)

 

Notice is hereby given that Dumfries and Galloway Council propose to replace the existing ‘Pelican’ crossing and establish a ‘Puffin’ Crossing at the same location; A756 Brooms Road, Dumfries, under section 23(2)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

SCHEDULE

Location Length of ‘Puffin’ controlled area
A756 Brooms Road, 22 metres, or

thereby, southwest of its junction

with U696N Cumberland Terrace.

 

22.5 metres, or thereby, on the

northeast side and 20.0m, or thereby,

on the southwest side, as defined by

the use of zig-zag markings.

A plan showing the ‘Puffin’ controlled area for the crossing may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours (0900 – 1630 hours) between 10 November 2021 and 8 December 2021 at:
