The Met Office has issued a Yellow weather warning for Tuesday the 10th of December stating that heavy rain and gusty winds may lead to travel disruption and localised flooding.
What to expect
- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
- Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely
- Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer, made worse by spray and surface water
- Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely
- Some short term loss of power and other services is possible

A FLOOD ALERT has been issued for Dumfries and Galloway.
River levels are expected to rise throughout the region on Tuesday due to heavy rain throughout the day, and will remain high into Wednesday. Surface water flooding may also occur during Tuesday. Localised flooding affecting low-lying land, roads and isolated properties, and disruption to travel, is possible.
